Location: 100% off site Remote (8am-5pm EST)

$55/hr C2C

$42-46/hr depending on PTO- Includes full benefits, 401k match etc

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow CMDB & APM Administrator to join the team at our direct client for a long term contract opportunity. As the ServiceNow CMDB Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the CMDB and APM, as well as supporting various IT processes and initiatives related to configuration management.

Responsibilities:

- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, including its configuration, data integrity, and ongoing synchronization with other IT systems and data sources.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design and implement CMDB-related processes, and define best practices for configuration management.

- Configure and customize the CMDB modules, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and workflows, to align with organizational needs and industry best practices.

- Perform regular audits and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of CMDB data, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or discrepancies.

- Develop and maintain CMDB-related documentation, including configuration policies, procedures, and standards.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure proper integration and alignment of CMDB & APM data with other IT processes such as incident, problem, and change management.

- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the CMDB & APM perspective and providing expertise on configuration management processes

Skills

- Solid experience in administering and configuring the ServiceNow CMDB, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and workflows.

- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in ServiceNow platform administration, including knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules.

- Familiarity with ITIL practices and processes, particularly in the area of configuration management.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to data analysis and reconciliation.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.

-Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for IT Service Management or Certified System Administrator (CSA), are highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

As a ServiceNow Discovery Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the ServiceNow Discovery module, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information about our IT infrastructure and assets. Your primary responsibility will be to configure and optimize the Discovery tool to enable efficient and effective discovery of our IT landscape.

Responsibilities:

1. ServiceNow Discovery Configuration: Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Discovery module to ensure accurate and comprehensive discovery of IT infrastructure, including servers, applications, network devices, and other assets.

2. Discovery Tool Optimization: Continuously optimize the Discovery tool's performance and accuracy by fine-tuning the configuration, ensuring proper credential management, and implementing best practices for efficient discovery processes.

3. Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and validate the discovered data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or data quality issues to ensure reliable and trustworthy information is available for IT operations and decision-making.

4. Discovery Mapping and Classification: Collaborate with other IT teams to map and classify discovered assets, ensuring proper categorization and alignment with the IT asset management framework and configuration management database (CMDB).

5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, infrastructure, and application teams, to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure successful integration of the ServiceNow Discovery module into the overall IT service

Ability to comprehend, modify and create server-side, object-oriented JavaScript, Unix Shell scripting and Windows scripting and PowerShell
