Job Description

Location: Bedford, MA


This Role:

The onsite Senior Systems Support Specialist role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.
  • Deployment of new desktops, workstations, and notebooks as directed by use of Microsoft SCCM deployment tools
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone, ticket system, in person and e-mail in a courteous manner
  • Assist senior members of team with department projects
  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers
  • Install anti-virus software
  • Performing preventative maintenance


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Responsibility satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. Required:

  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows10, Azure and some 2016/19 Server
  • Extensive application support experience with Microsoft O365, MS Intune, Client Side VPN connection software and Citrix connections
  • 3-5 years related work experience

Preferred:

  • Certifications in CompTia A +, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians
