Hyatt’s global social media team is in search of a creatively inspired storyteller and social media expert who will serve as a social media steward of its luxury & lifestyle brands. Reporting to the Global Director of social media & Content Marketing, this role is for someone who is deeply immersed in lifestyle and cultural trends and experiences, inspired by cross-functional collaboration, and more simply, likes to do great work. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering social marketing results, with the ability to plan from scratch and drive ideas from conception to execution. The Senior Social Media Manager of Lifestyle & Luxury Brands will serve as an advocate and champion for the luxury & lifestyle brands in the Hyatt portfolio and be responsible for developing & executing social media strategies for the Andaz, Thompson Hotels, Hyatt Centric, Caption by Hyatt, Park Hyatt, and Alila brands. The Senior Social Media Manager of Luxury & Lifestyle Brands will help guide and collaborate with the brand team, agency partners, and other internal stakeholders to develop and market our brands on social media in a way that is relevant to today’s culturally connected guests and offers unique, meaningful experiences in this highly competitive and growing segment. This person will ensure that the look, feel, and voice of our brands show up authentically, impactfully, and consistently on social media.


The Senior Social Media Manager will work closely across functions to determine the who, what, when, where, why, and how content is being created, posted, and delivered to our audiences. This person should be a passionate storyteller and knowledgeable about new trends, features, and enhancements to the industry. They should also be able to turn data and metrics into a roadmap for future content and strategies. This person should also be able to brainstorm social-first creative and utilize the resources to execute those ideas.


The primary job responsibilities are:

•Plan, manage, and execute social media vision for Luxury & Lifestyle brands

•Drive our social media and content strategies through thought leadership and close collaboration with our brand partners

•Create and publish monthly content calendars in addition to bi-monthly plans featuring input from different sources to ensure content is strategic and data-driven

•Manage the development of photography and video content and leverage content creators, influencers, freelance, and agency partners to create social-first content. Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is engaging, informative, and on-brand.

•Occasionally edit and create social-first content utilizing existing assets.

•Perform light community management of several Hyatt brand pages to grow engagement.

•Work in tandem with the Paid Social Media Manager to ensure successful paid campaigns

•Develop, execute, and report on integrated brand campaigns, working cross-functionally with various departments to translate brand campaign objectives into social-first strategies and plans

•Maintain a deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis and ownership of data touchpoints

•Work with managers & associate managers on the team to set campaign strategy, lead creative ideation, and deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns to meet channel growth goals

•In addition to brand team collaboration, partner with additional cross-functional teams to better drive social business goals and ensure that omnichannel efforts are fully optimized and attributed to social business goals and ensure content and campaign efforts are consistent

•Identify new trends and opportunities to develop social-first pilots

•Be comfortable presenting to a global audience and work collaboratively with regional and global social media teams from around the world

•Share feedback, case studies, best practices, and learnings from insights gained from community management, content reports, and social listening

Qualifications

Experience Required:

•Minimum of 9-11 years of experience in social marketing. Lifestyle & luxury experience is required

•Experience building and executing social media content and campaigns

•Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies

•Analytic and quantitative skills – the ability to use data to develop and measure

•Experience directly managing social media accounts

•Undergraduate degree in a related field

•Creative but also process-orientated

•Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with both organic and paid social media content on key platforms, i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and TikTok.

•Passion for travel, emerging social platforms, and digital trends


Experience Preferred:

•Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills

•Excellent writing and language skills

•Proficient in social media tools, Sprinklr is a plus

•Experience with Photoshop or additional photo editing tools for content creation is a plus
