MAJOR FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review Accounts Receivable regularly to identify areas of risk or concern
  • Assist in researching accounting guidance and documenting positions on revenue transactions in cooperation with the external reporting team.
  • Assess contracts for proper accounting treatment under ASC 606.
  • Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
  • Have a clear understanding of standard contract terms and therefore able to detect non-standard terms to ensure revenue recognition treatment is considered.
  • Work regularly with client revenue team to read and review their contract input into the ERP system ensuring accurate terms, billing & revenue recognition schedules.
  • Provide guidance to sales team on new arrangements.
  • Provide support for the quarterly and annual financial statement audits.
  • Assist in improving and streamlining revenue processes to scale our businesses and new revenue streams.
  • Reference the executed contract and auto renewal contract lists on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Take the lead on ensuring the contract-to-cash process is working effectively.
  • Work closely with the sales teams and legal teams to challenge processes.
  • Have a robust knowledge of our client revenue business and SOX controls and be accountable for your part in these controls.

JOB REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Ability to assess and analyze ASC 606 impact on revenue for sales agreements
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • Experience in reviewing sales contracts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Experience in ERP Systems preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting
  • Strong attention to details
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition in U.S. GAAP under ASC 606
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred preferably within a public company environment or a large regional or Big Four accounting firm

The compensation for this role is $95,000.
