What You’ll Do

In your role as a Manager in the Tax Department, you will use your expertise to provide compliance and consulting services to our clients. In your day to day, you will do the following:

  • Other duties as required.
  • Manage client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
  • Develop and sustain strong client relationships by handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
  • Prepare complex tax returns.
  • Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
  • Provide industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
  • Detailed review and analysis of tax returns.
  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general transactional activities.
  • Manage billing and engagement metrics for clients.
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members and direct reports.
  • Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

What You’ll Need

To be successful and thrive in your role, you should possess the following:

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Must have at least 6+ years of applicable tax experience in preparation and review of business and individual tax returns.
  • CPA required.
  • Project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related preferred.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.
