Job Description

Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Senior Receptionist in our Fitchburg location.


The Fitchburg Counseling Center provides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, couples, children, and families. Our clients are receiving therapy for a variety of things including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders and more. Our team of clinicians are dedicated to providing quality integrated, therapeutic interventions to our clients.


The Senior Receptionist provides administrative support to consumers and staff of our outpatient community behavioral health center in Fitchburg.

  • Able to work onsite.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Schedule client appointments.
  • Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Perform check-in and check-out with clients, including verifying insurance eligibility, entering information on lapsed insurance/new insurance, collecting co-payments and balances due, providing receipts, submitting cash reports, updating client demographics, notifying clinician/doctor that the client is checked in and ready to be seen.
  • Complete daily reminder calls to clients.
  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record.
  • Answer calls and emails to respond to messages.
  • Greet clients.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including copy machines, computers, printers, telephones and four drawer vertical filing cabinets.
  • Send and distribute faxes and mail.
  • Conduct prior insurance authorizations.
  • Transfer and close cases in the electronic medical record.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Assist doctors and clinicians with letters and referrals.
  • Maintain calendars, professional meetings, vacations, conferences, etc.
  • Complete referral to specialists.
  • Complete administrative intake with clients, including providing intake packets to clients and collecting completed forms.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Work as a member of the support team.
  • Grade C02 Senior Receptionist Associates degree in Administration preferred, must have minimum of HSD/GED or HiSet
  • Two years of related experience
  • Complete PT1 forms for clients.
  • Enter and make changes to staff schedules.
