Job Description

Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Senior Receptionist in Worcester.


The Worcester Counseling Center provides integrated behavioral health and primary care services to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Worcester Counseling Center also offers specialized substance addiction treatment and Open Access services. Our medication assisted treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment. We also have specialized services for individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time, and for individuals with developmental disabilities.


The Senior Receptionist provides administrative support to consumers and staff of our integrated outpatient community behavioral health centers.


  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to organize complex tasks and meet deadlines
  • Send and distribute faxes and mail
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors
  • Complete PT1s
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly desired
  • Assist doctors and clinicians with letters and referrals
  • Complete referrals to specialists
  • Ability to use office equipment, including copy machines, computers, printers, telephones and four drawer vertical filing cabinets.
  • Answer calls and emails and respond to messages
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Complete daily reminder calls

  • Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience
  • Advanced computer skills, including use of an electronic medical record
  • Maintain calendars, professional meetings, vacations, conferences, etc
  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record
  • Grade C02 Senior Receptionist Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED/HiSet required; Associates degree preferred
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Perform other related job duties
  • Transfer and close cases in the electronic medical record
  • Perform check-in and check-out with clients, including verifying insurance eligibility, entering information on lapsed insurance/new insurance, collecting co-pays and balances due and providing receipts, submitting cash sheets, updating client demographics, notifying staff that client is checked in
  • Greet clients
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Enter and make changes to staff schedules
  • Complete prior authorizations
  • Work as a member of the support team
