Senior Purchasing Analyst Jobs

Our client is searching for a Sr Purchasing Agent to join their team! This position will procure multiple product lines for irrigation and landscape supplies in addition to maintaining data integrity for several SKUs of specific products.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Mentor and coach Purchasing Agents to enhance career and professional development
• Communicate with vendors regarding product availability and purchase orders.
• Proactively tracking Forecast accuracy and communicating to key stakeholders
• Create and deliver reports (briefs and updates) on projects and initiatives
• Review and analyze daily below-order-point reports and procures products for those stores whose volumes did not meet the auto buy parameters.
• Develop and implement process improvements and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, and improve business performance
• Development & implementation of Projects & SOP’s
• Assist store manager with special projects, including but not limited to early orders, product promotions and vendor negotiations.
• Work collaboratively through negotiation, and engagement with key stakeholders relative to new projects, initiatives and purchasing activities.
• Communicate daily with stores regarding purchasing of product and other special needs.
• Drive continuous operational improvements - Research & Evaluate areas of opportunities and reduce cost where possible
• Lead Solution-based problem solving

Skills We Are Seeking

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Understanding of purchasing and inventory management philosophies. Strong analytical skills and excellent customer service skills
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in or strong working knowledge or irrigation and landscape supplies
