Role Description
As a Senior Project Construction Manager, Offshore Wind Americas you will be responsible for the delivery of world leading offshore windfarms for RWE Renewables. The role will commence providing construction phase experience to a number of projects progressing through development. The position will transition to assuming overall responsibility for progressing a project that has successfully secured a route to market. As a representative of RWE Renewables, you will also be an ambassador for the company’s behaviours, particularly Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance (We Care), working within a team, developing local capability and pushing boundaries, whilst promoting project management best practice as a recognised project management subject matter expert. What We Are Looking For

• Proven ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary activities between subprojects, e.g. in the fields of permit, commercial, finance, schedule, risk site and operations
• Demonstrable commitment in the form of a track record of delivering projects in full compliance with International and Local regulations and to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental management
• An understanding of common technical, commercial and stakeholder risks of performing offshore construction activities
• Previous responsibility for ensuring that all the construction contracts and support contracts are managed effectively and deliver as per the project plan
• Experience of providing assurance that the windfarm can be constructed without harm to people or the environment and in a fashion that the quality and technical performance requirements can be satisfied within the cost and schedule targets that formed the Final Investment Decision
• Experienced leaders who have successfully managed large, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project teams and built local project management capability, preferably in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind or Offshore or marine industries
• Experience of applying techniques to influence others to deliver results
• Ability to define, establish and maintain a project delivery capability comprising people, processes and systems that safely and efficiently delivers the project throughout its lifecycle
• A record of successful application of processes and techniques to evaluate the local supply chain capability that resulted in maximisation of local content within the project

You will have

• Qualifications to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent science/numerate qualification
• Experience of safely delivering complex offshore construction projects, preferably involving HV electrical systems and wind turbines to quality, schedule and cost expectations
• Minimum of 8+ years professional experience
• Membership of a project management professional body and/or accreditation would be advantageous
• Experience of successfully representing your company in engagements with a wide range of key stakeholders internally and externally
