SUMMARY
The Senior Plant Manager’s will lead all day-to-day operations of our Sebastopol production facility to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective creation and execution of the production plan. The Senior Plant Manager is directly or indirectly responsible for all production, maintenance, and warehouse employees in the Sebastopol facility across three manufacturing shifts. They will work strategically and cross-functionally with leadership throughout the organization and lead their management team to assure employee engagement, safety, quality, customer service, continuous improvement, cost containment, and production objectives are achieved or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Understand and support the organization’s mission, purpose, vision and core values; educate plant leadership team and frequently refer to them by incorporating into daily activities.
• Ensure safety of all team members and contractors working within manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of all company-wide safety programs, SOP’s, hazard elimination, and enforcement of all safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards and programs, including supporting audits and any other regulatory activities as needed.
• Directly lead, manage, and develop the plant leadership team including an operations manager, maintenance manager, and health, safety, and training manager. Directly manage additional support roles including production planning and inventory control.
• Actively participate in the overall employee experience of all plant employees (including hiring, performance management, employee coaching, conflict resolution, compensation, and career pathing)
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and current gaps to meet or exceed industry best practices. Prioritize and implement continuous improvement changes to achieve short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
• Execute, monitor and adjust the weekly production schedule to assure delivery of production targets. Work cross-functionally with leadership in planning, procurement, engineering, human resources, and quality to assure clear prioritization and organizational alignment to deliver on key performance indicators
• Develop and measure plant-wide performance by defining KPIs, implementing a robust score-carding process, and effectively cascading goals and results throughout the organization.
• Represent operations in the development of a multi-site master manufacturing plan, strategic workforce planning, 7-year strategic plan, 3-year operating plan, and annual expense budgeting and capital budgeting processes.
• Willingness and ability to appropriately represent the Traditional Medicinals brand, including the purpose, mission, vision, and values, within the local municipality
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities listed above.
SUPERVISORY
• Directly manage manufacturing leadership team including an operations manager, a maintenance manager, and a health, safety, and training manager.
• Directly manage support functions including production planning and inventory control.
• Indirectly lead a team of production, maintenance, and warehouse personnel across three manufacturing shifts.
REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to communicate persuasively in both English and Spanish, both written and oral
• Intermediate or advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of Food or Dietary Supplement manufacturing industry best practices
EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional manufacturing leadership teams in a Food or Dietary supplement production facility
• Experience designing a continuous improvement program and implementing industry best practices
• Experience leading cross-functional cultural change in growing organizations
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the manufacturing leadership in a Food or Dietary Supplement manufacturing facility

Compensation range is $130,000 - $180,000 per year, plus an annual percentage bonus.
Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
