We are looking for a high energy, marketing professional with an unwavering focus on business outcomes to lead the development of local Co-Op marketing plans, as well as the local execution of the national marketing plan within ourLong Beach Field Officeto profitably build sales, transactions, and cash flow for the company and Owner/Operator restaurants.
The Senior Manager of Field Marketing role is a development path towards becoming a Field Marketing Officer and running the marketing function. As such this role will be assigned to lead at least one top 10 business unit.
Key customers include McDonald’s Field Office Management, McDonald’s HQ Management, Co-op Owner/Operators, Field Office Staff and Restaurant Management within the assigned geography.
Responsibilities
- Communicates national and field office plans and priorities and partners with local agencies and owner operators to build and monitor Co-op plans that are aligned to the overall business plan.
- Tracks performance of coop marketing plan priorities weekly, monthly, etc. and facilitates appropriate adjustments
- Leads marketing budget reporting and management for all Business Units within the Field Office.
- Manages agencies in the development of creative strategies/briefs
- Handles development and execution of local creative (TV, radio, outdoor, print, and point of sale, etc.) in accordance with the regional creative process and national creative standards.
- In partnership with other Sr. Field Marketing Managers, leads peer mentoring program on behalf of the US Field Marketing Team
- Manages the development, execution, and evaluation of local media plans in assigned Co-Ops
- Ensures optimized point of sale execution within assigned Coops
- Maintains and strengthens the McDonald's brand position in their assigned geography and other areas of responsibility.
- Participates as an active member of the Field Office Leadership Team for development.
- Strategic planning/alignment, tactical development, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Co-Op marketing plans/resources (includes advertising, promotion, and public relations) to achieve annual Co-Op goals.
- Provides a field marketing voice and perspective to assigned National cross functional initiatives
- Maximizes success of the system plan by ensuring Owner/Operator understanding and advocacy for the national marketing plan by securing coop votes and providing continuous input and feedback to Field Office, HQ Management.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- You will manage the day-to-day workflow of the McDonalds Co-Op agencies.
- You will need to gather, analyze, and provide accurate, relevant, and timely inputs to support the development of local agency recommendations to Owner Operators, allowing them to make informed and confident decisions.
- In partnership with Co-Op leadership, you will hold agencies accountable for deliverables within approved scope, through formal and informal agency performance reviews.
- We want you to provide a leadership points of view, build strong relationships and cultivate partnership among Owner Operators, Agencies, Suppliers and Staff to achieve maximum performance.
- Interpret and evaluate information related to sales, P&L, promotional evaluation, competition, general economic trends, and qualitative/quantitative research.
- We recommend you have QSR, Restaurant Services Client, industry advertising or public relations agency experience for this role.
- We need this person to have a firm understanding of excel, business analytics, business case development and social media.
- Reside in Field Office geography and are willing to travel frequently within Field Office geography and occasionally to HQ in Chicago.
- You have strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
- We will require a BA/BS in Marketing or Communications.
- Field Marketing or advertising agency experience.
