Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the Senior Manager, Technology Infrastructure will join a team of high performing and collaborative professionals, working closely together on the development and execution of Brookfield Renewable’s growth strategies in the U.S.


The Senior Manager primary customer will be all the Brookfield Renewable US users. They will manage the Networking, Voice, Disaster Recovery, Collaboration, Messaging, Cyber Security, Hosting Infrastructure, and Operations platforms used by the Brookfield Renewable US users. The Senior Manager has accountability for the development, support model and identifying ways to drive additional value from the Brookfield Renewable US platform.


To execute successfully, the Senior Manager will work closely with the US IT internal teams, third-party vendors, external technology providers, IT industry advisory companies, and relevant business committees and associations to ensure the US IT Infrastructure Portfolio meet and exceed Brookfield Renewable US customer needs, expectations, and demand and achieve business results that benefit and maximize the performance and success of Brookfield Renewable US customers.


The Senior Manager will ensure adherence and compliance to established business, operational, security and compliance processes, governance, and US IT service delivery performance criteria to ensure correct technical, operational, and business outcomes and objectives are achieved for the US IT team and Brookfield Renewable US platform.


Responsibilities


  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills;

  • Provide compliance oversight, guidance, and direction necessary to maintain ongoing compliance for the protection of Generation assets to maintain reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System.

  • Provide strategic direction and operational support for Infrastructure Services, including Networking, Voice, Disaster Recovery, Collaboration, Messaging, Cyber Security, and Hosting Infrastructure;
  • Strong focus on the customer and delivering to business outcomes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts;
  • Results driven and tenacious;
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges;
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of business analysis, quality assurance, and workflow tools and/or practices;
  • Expertise in business process analysis, data analysis and requirements documentation, including strong skills in related diagraming and modeling toolsets;
  • Develop, prepare, and present annual business plans for assigned US IT providing quarterly updates, forecasts, and achievement/improvement plans
  • Oversee the governance, management, and support of the IT and OT for the Wind and Solar platforms;
  • Demonstrated experience documenting “as is” processes and then based on business requirements creating the appropriate “to be” business processes;


Requirements


  • SaaS and Cloud-based IaaS/PaaS services delivery methodology and third-party services awareness;
  • End-User Compute Technology - desktop/laptop, mobile, and portable technologies, services desk/contact-center technologies, messaging (email, instant), collaboration, and social-networking technologies, unified communications, knowledge management and content management technologies;
  • Enterprise Compute Technology – computing platforms including Windows/Intel, open systems, enterprise and departmental storage, wide-area data/voice networking services (legacy and VoIP), LAN/Wireless;
  • Financial and cost management with expertise in cost forecasting and cost/spend budget management;
  • Knowledge and effective understanding of key technologies and industry/third-party services, methods, and best-practices in Enterprise technologies and Enterprise (compute, storage, data center, networks) computing services and support;
  • Application development and Application Management methods and best-practices
  • Strong team and organizational leadership and management capabilities;
  • Service management systems/Enterprise management systems (ITSM/ITIL processes) and methods/processes including NOC (Network operations) and SOC (Security Operations)
  • Strong awareness and experience in IT audit and compliance management (SOC, Cobit, SSAE);
  • Strong and effective customer relationship management skills and process/practice experience
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills geared to business development and customer satisfaction;
  • Business growth development skills including IT technology and service industry/marketplace awareness;
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT services offerings including scope development, implementation planning and execution, financial budget management and forecasting, and on-going service line improvement and innovation;
  • Experience in managing and overseeing third-party service provider service delivery execution and business & commercial governance;
