Job Description
    We are looking for a passionate and experienced Engineering Lead to support the advancement of Cyber Security at Spotify.     Our security teams consist of experts in all areas of cyber security - such as; detection & response, vulnerability management, cloud security, IT security, compliance engineering, risk management, and more. They are supported by engaged Engineering Managers and Product Managers.

    This is a people and technology leadership position. Together with a team of Engineering Managers reporting to you, you will ensure that the application security and cloud security teams at Spotify Security are set up for success. This includes prioritizing overall team health, tech health and delivery.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead, empower, challenge, and coach your team of Engineering Managers
    • Ensure allocation of staffing, consultants, and vendor resources to meet our achievements and sustain our technology
    • Foster a culture of inclusion and healthy engineering practices
    • Deliver on our OKRs and roadmaps, in partnership with our Product Lead
    • Prioritize quality, maintain and improve the health of owned technology
    • Work passionately to ensure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify
    • Ensure that technology plays a vital role throughout vision, strategy, and roadmaps
    • Proactively manage risks to delivery and sustainment, ensuring prompt resolution of risks and issues
    • Collaborate closely with partners, collaborators and other leads across Spotify

    Who You Are

    • You are a strategic problem solver and great at sorting out ambiguity
    • You are passionate about cyber security, risk management and compliance. You can share this passion to motivate the team and the wider organization
    • You thrive when developing great people, and great teams, not just great products
    • You have excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
    • You are well-versed in data-informed, value-slicing, agile product development
    • You have experience managing managers and leading multiple engineering teams
    • You are comfortable making impactful decisions, such as buy vs build

    The United States base range for this position is USD185000-265000, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays.”
