Job Description

About the team

Are you looking for a new challenge? If you are a pro-active, analytical problem solver who enjoys working in an innovative, fast-paced environment, then look no further! Zillow’s New Construction (NC) business is building the largest and most vibrant platform for new construction builders and home shoppers. Combined, the Strategy and Sales Analytics teams guide the development of the NC business and revenue strategy. We also build many of the analytic tools, dashboards and scorecards our sales teams depend on to strengthen customer relationships and achieve their goals. We're looking for a new team member, with deep expertise across three distinct but related subject areas: sales analytics, sales operations, and revenue operations. This is an outstanding opportunity to bring your vision and ideas to lead a team that is passionate about storytelling with data, empowering sellers and sales leaders, and supporting the entire business to achieve its growth goals.

About the role

As a Senior Sales Analytics Manager you will lead a team of two analysts with potential to grow in the future, reporting to the Director of Strategy and Analytics. Success in this role will require a highly personable and proactive approach to leadership and teamwork. You’ll build strong connections with our senior leaders, putting your business know-how, critical reasoning, and analytic skills to work. Your job will be to play a central role in generating growth for the business, helping everyone to work smarter and faster, while empowering decision makers with the right data and insights at the right time. As a Sr. manager, you will own career development for your team, developing your people while allowing each individual to grow in their respective career path in line with their interests and passions. As a mentor and coach, you’ll continue to nurture the team's data visualization skills, coding skills, vision for dashboard and scorecard design, as well developing robust processes for backlog management, change management, and release management for your work. As a leader, you’ll work closely with your peers in Business Operations, Sales, Finance, Product, and Data Science to influence key decision makers. Using these relationships, you’ll be responsible for our forecasting, pricing, territory, quota, compensation and revenue analysis as well as an ecosystem of reporting and tools that power our sales org, primarily in Domo and Tableau. You’ll also partner closely with FP&A and Product teams to interpret sales trends and the performance of key GTM initiatives.

What does success look like?

  • Within 30 days, you will be familiar with New Construction’s operating model, meet its leaders, and build working relationships with your peers on other teams. You’ll primarily be observing and learning!
  • Within 6 months you will be driving collaboration across teams for your work. You will influence near-term priorities of the business by demonstrating a well developed understanding of the industry landscape, in close collaboration with our Strategy and Product teams.
  • In one year you will be an authority on our business, be a trusted advisor, making recommendations that shape the broader strategy and long term vision. Your team will be thriving with new skills, benefiting from your clear vision for where they are heading. You will be hyper focused on rapid revenue growth.
  • Within 90 days you will have made at least one significant recommendation related to advancing our 2023 sales goal, using data-driven insights, with a plan for any new processes, procedures, reports or resources required to achieve your vision.
  • Within 60 days you will be familiar with our core product offerings, monetization strategies, product backlog, everything in your team backlog, and the sales goals and methods for each of our sales teams. You’ll drive several small to medium projects and begin actively seeking feedback on your vision for your team.
