We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist to work with our clients and provide support for our internal HR needs.


SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Director of HR Services, performs a dual role for the company. Supports the HR Services Department through resource and program development and provide backup for direct customer services. Additionally, serves as the primary Human Resource person for company employees.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Services:

· Maintains, updates, and creates HR content for the Resource Library.

· Researches HR-related matters, policies, laws, and best-known practices in response to customer needs.

· Creates client handbooks using BLR’s employee handbook development platform.

· Writes, edits, and produces HR documents, including HR articles for electronic newsletters.

· Participates in and develops content for HR workshops and webinars.

· Provides backup support and advice to clients through HR Services’ askHR!.

· Maintains accurate records of transactions with clients utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

· Prepares HRS utilization reports for key customers.

Internal Human Resources:

· Spearheads the development and implementation of company-wide human resource policies, procedures, and practices.

· Develops and maintains the 501(c) Services HR policy handbook.

· Maintains all HR paperwork and files.

· Leads the process for hiring new employees, including onboarding and integration.

· Provides HR guidance to employees and management.

· Responsible for handling of Workers Comp claims.

· Administers and processes LOA requests.

· Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite is a plus.
  • Current Professional HR (PHR/SHRM-CP) certification and ability to maintain certification or willingness to obtain certification with support from the company.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to develop the trust of company employees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a multifaceted workload with competing priorities.
  • Organized, with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • This position will need a minimum of 5 years of experience, HR certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire with the support of 501
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply complex regulations and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of HR principles and practices, including employment law.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • This position will require a significant time responding to our client’s HR issues, researching laws and regulations in all 50 states and creating content for our online Resource Library.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience.
  • Dependable, dedicated, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with limited supervision.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

· Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.

· Be on the phone for prolonged periods.

· Perform some repetitive motion activities.

· Learn new tasks.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Schedule: Monday through Friday.

· Hybrid work schedule: three days in an office setting.

· Up to 10% business-related travel for seminars and conferences.

COMPENSATION:

80-85K Base
