Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Human Resources Generalist to be an integral part of the HR Operations team. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for partnering with the HR Director on many HR functions, including performance management, employee experience, compliance, and execution. In this role, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will partner with the internal HR team and all levels of employees across the various business units.
Job Type: Full-Time, Remote (CA Required, San Diego Based a Plus but not Required)
- If you are located in the San Diego area, you will be expected to come into the office 2-3 times per week
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000.
- The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location
- Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with open enrollment and other benefits related programs as needed
- Solve complex HR-related issues, work independently with minimal guidance and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Lead new employee onboarding and assist the Director with all off boarding.
- Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including transitional work and accommodations
- Handle workers compensation, first report of injury database and safety regulations process
- Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies & procedures and manpower goals
- Process payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Conduct complex/sensitive employee related investigations
- Provide guidance to management and employees on human resources issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs
Qualifications:
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required
- A patient listener with a servant-leader approach and an urgency for excellence
- Human Resources Generalist experience: 3+ years
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Docs and Slides
- Thorough knowledge of current employment-related laws and regulations (multi-state)
- Payroll/HRIS experience for organizations with 25+ employees.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a time-sensitive environment.
Evaluation of KPI's:
- Daily: 24 hours or less response to emails within HR mailbox
- Monthly: 90% 15Five check-ins submitted and reviewed
- Quarterly: 90% of employees or more submitting payroll on time and 0 errors when processing payroll

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
