About The Job

Liquid Death is looking for a strong Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant. This role is expected to provide leadership and support, as directed, for the corporate general ledger. The Senior GL Accountant will focus on the month-end/year-end close including reconciling general ledger accounts, providing detailed analysis, and preparing regularly scheduled financial statements and other reports for management. The Senior GL Accountant is expected to work closely on a daily basis with the accounting team to ensure accounting information and practices are accurately reflected by gathering and verifying the accuracy of financial data, checking journal entries, and reconciling accounts. The Senior GL Accountant is additionally responsible to support and role model connecting to Finance & Accounting staff and lead projects and/or processes as assigned, working with other accounting staff. This is a remote role that will report into the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ad-hoc reports for the CFO and Controller, as requested.
• Record fixed assets by creating & supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls.
• Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset schedule, including calculating and recording monthly depreciation.
• Set up and manage all general ledger accounts in the corporate accounting system, NetSuite, including reviewing Balance Sheet to investigate and resolve variances on a monthly basis.
• Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and ensure financial statements follow US GAAP and organization policies.
• Prepare various audit schedules and manage annual financial audits.
• Calculate revenue recognition in NetSuite on a monthly basis.
• Lead and/or participate in special projects as required.
• Responsible for month-end close process by producing relevant journal entries, reviewing and investigating anomalies, performing P&L variance analysis and preparing month-end accruals.
• Prepare and review monthly reporting packages and provide detailed financial insights.
• Assist Assistant Controller in coordinating month-end close and ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Thorough involvement and integral contributor to the full cycle accounting process.
• Prepare differed revenue reconciliation on a daily basis.
• Reconcile revenues vs expenses on a monthly basis.

Requirements:

• Ability to manage deadlines and accurately process data under time limited restraints.
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and flexible work attitude.
• Ability to pivot and prioritize work.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Technical accounting knowledge with an understanding of US GAAP.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to leverage technology for efficient data gathering and analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments, vendors, and upper management.

The typical salary range for this position is: $80,000 - $90,000

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
