Job overview:


The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group plays an instrumental role in the analysis and reporting of LPL’s investment information and partnering with the company’s business units providing overall financial decision support. By working with colleagues in finance and in the business units, you will develop timely, accurate, and insightful commentary and recommendations. This team has the unique opportunity to be finance experts, to understand how business unit performance fits within LPL and vice versa, and to communicate with business partners at all levels of management on a daily basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Please note: Additional responsibilities or duties may be assigned to you as needed or determined
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Ad hoc analysis and additional responsibilities as required
  • Act as a liaison between FP&A and the Human Capital division
  • Work closely with cross-functional business partners to understand and provide insights into financial performance, resource planning, and expense forecasts
  • Lead the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, accurate, and visually effective financial presentations

Requirements:


  • Progressive experience using advanced features of MS Excel, Hyperion or similar system, and supporting creation of executive level PowerPoint decks
  • 3-5+ years working in Finance, FP&A, Strategy, or Management Consulting
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics (or a related discipline)


Core Competencies


  • Self-starter, collaborative mindset, and ability to build strong relationships across the organization
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills (V-Lookups, Sum If, Pivot Tables)
  • Flexible and adaptable to change; ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication (verbal & written), problem solving, and analytical skills


Preferences


  • Financial Modeling
  • FP&A background
  • Experience with Human Capital or Corporate Real Estate functions


Pay Range:


$73,600-$110,400/year


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
