Base Compensation Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually

The Senior Estimator is an intricate part of the regional estimating process for restoration construction projects. This is a very interactive position that will regularly work with all members of the sales and operations teams to drive accurate, timely, and competitive proposals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports to the VP of Estimating with technical questions regarding projects.
• Reviews and evaluates cost estimates.
• Prepares cost analysis for various construction activities.
• Manages bid pricing from all vendors.
• Organizes and prepares bid packages to subcontractors/Vendors.
• Prepares multiple estimates at a time using Xactimate.
• Quantity measurements using Active Takeoff or other software.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Supports Project Managers in the resolution of cost discrepancies, preparing and reviewing budgets prior to bidding and contracting of projects.
• Solicits subcontractor bids using various bid solicitation software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• This role has no direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and conscientious.
• Experience estimating and or project management.
• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating using Xactimate software.
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
• Must be able to read architectural plans and specifications.
• Able to multitask and meet strict deadlines.

EDUCATION:

• Degree in a related field and/or practical work experience, which offsets college education requirements.

TRAVEL:

• Occasional travel. (Less than 25% of the time.) Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
