Base Compensation Range: $60,000 – $80,000 annually
Estimating Region: Supports the Midwest region and can either work remotely or from one of our Midwest office locations such as Chicago, St. Louis, or Kansas City (candidates living in the Midwest are preferred)

The Regional Estimator is an intricate part of the regional estimating process. This is a very interactive position that will regularly work with all members of the sales and operations teams to drive accurate, timely, and competitive proposals. Expertise with insurance-related estimating and Xactimate is a must.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide full estimating on all types of projects (large, small, complex, hard bid, negotiated) and help train, support, and mentor sales and estimating teams.
- Review estimates and subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in determining subcontractors to include in the bidding process if needed.
- Assist with budget training and a better buyout process.
- Assist in estimate or proposal submittals to clients.
- Receive scope notes, sketches, and photos of individual jobs from field staff.
- Other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Review all data and prepare estimates for review by field staff and supervisors as required.
- Assist in the buyout process and budget set-up.
- Schedule and lead select project reviews.
- Stay apprised of current bid market conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Organized and detailed with proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple residential and complex commercial construction projects.
- Proficient with building/estimating techniques and software.
- A current driver’s license is required.
- Ability to coordinate and supervise group work efforts.
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience preferred, Insurance Restoration Estimating/Xactimate.
- Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
- Able to estimate all types of projects and contracts (hard bid, negotiated, and paper napkin bid), plus
- Ability to prepare estimates with minimal supervision.
- Applicable mathematical skills.
TRAVEL:
- Minimal travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
