Senior Program Manager Jobs

Working in Support of Education (W!SE) is an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting financial literacy and preparing youth for college and the workplace.We are seeking a dynamic candidate with experience to manage an exciting high school program that prepares students for college and career success. This year long program culminates in a competition and scholarships for students who excel at creating an innovative solution to a social issue that improves the quality of life in their community.

The Senior Program Manager’s responsibilities include:

·Leading an exciting educational program, Quality of Life Innovations (QLI), with a focus on college level research and the development of college-ready skills

·Recruiting school participation in the Tri-State area

·Assisting schools to implement QLI

·Manage a QLI afterschool initiative

·Building partnerships with participating high schools, universities, community agencies

·Creating and/or revising program materials

·Organizing program events including an annual awards ceremony

·Planning workshops and webinars for teachers and students

·Recruiting volunteer judges and mentors

·Maintaining program records

·Making presentations and preparing communications

·Managing communications and interfacing with teachers and students

·Managing an online platform for competition submissions

·Visiting participating schools

·Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·BA/BS/Masters in social science, education, English, public affairs, or other relevant field

·Knowledge of social science research or research methods

·Experience working with schools and/or students preferred

·A minimum3 years related experience

·Ability to manage multiple, concurrent initiatives with deadlines

·Independent, take-charge work style focused on results

·Superior written and oral communication skills

·Ability to work with students, teachers, or nonprofit or corporate executives

·Organized and resourceful

·Experience/interest in either high school education or youth development

·Energetic individual with strong technology skills
