How You Will Make An Impact
Frida is looking for a Sr. Director of Sourcing to join our Operations team and lead the process of finding the ideal products and partners to drive our growth. The Sr. Director of Sourcing will oversee the sourcing team, develop sourcing strategies for a resilient and robust supply network, and lead vendor relationships and commercial terms.
Responsibilities To Include

• Drive company’s strategic business objectives regarding supplier base optimization
• Enhance relationships with key business partners to help ensure on time delivery, quality standards are being met, and identify opportunities to improve pricing and terms
• Work with the Compliance team to ensure supply base strategy meets regulatory & compliance needs, building flexibility as business expands into different categories & countries.
• Lead and oversee evaluation process with relevant internal departments for alignment on best fit for product, cost, time & quality and alignment with vendor base strategy
• Lead team of sourcing personnel to manage new product sourcing, cost down initiatives, and supplier re-alignment
• Develop vendor base strategy through sources that offer the company the edge needed to succeed in terms of price, quality and safety
• Build and refine key sourcing processes from quoting through to reporting, vendor management, and contracting
• Build Sourcing strategy globally to ensure the ideal fit between products + suppliers to manufacture a premium product that delivers on consumer and brand needs as well as business results
• Oversee process build out and team execution of supplier scorecard, monitor supplier performance against target KPIs, ensure all feedback received from business units are properly addressed, and maintain supplier performance database
• Oversee the quoting process and make an informed recommendation for business awards that align with company objectives, supporting & driving negotiations as needed to achieve target COGs
• 10 – 20% travel required to visit potential new and existing suppliers
• Train, teach & grow team capabilities in business processes, and manufacturing expertise
• Lead negotiations and set negotiation strategy with new and existing suppliers
• Other projects as assigned

What You Will Need

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing best practices
• A sense of urgency to quickly, decisively, and efficiently resolve business issues
• Strong project management experience and demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects concurrently to completion
• Experience as lead negotiator with proven performance
• Experience dealing with suppliers in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States
• 8+ years managing and sourcing global suppliers in an OEM business with proven success in locating and developing suppliers with world class capabilities
• Strong in all Microsoft Office solutions, especially Microsoft Excel
• The disposition to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and quality
• Experience handling requests for information, quotations, proposals and bidding processes, as well as social compliance audits, as well as quality and capabilities audits
• Understanding of / experience in working with commodities (raw materials, plastics, resins)
• Energetic, positive team player attitude ready for the demands of a high energy, fast-paced company environment with a no-task-too-small work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of global sourcing platforms + resources
• Knowledge of different manufacturing techniques with working knowledge of materials, components and formulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business
• The ability to build strong and trusting cross-functional relationships

Frida is an organization that values collaboration and community. As the Sr. Director of Sourcing, you will work closely with Compliance, Product Development, and Project Management teams.
Our Ways of Working
Frida HQ is located in Miami, Florida and approved roles have the flexible option to work remotely both Mondays and Fridays with the benefit of connecting in person Tuesdays - Thursdays.
