Job Description

Summary


In this role, you will be the trusted partner on all people-related matters for country level operations globally, providing HR leadership, advice, counsel, and solutions in analyzing people issues and challenges. Working closely with the International Programs team in the US, you will ensure staff are adequately supported and service arrangements are sufficient in all locations.


This position is contingent upon project funding, and the position will end if/when the award ends.


What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)


Transition of staff with existing contracts (30%)


  • Be the lead in the People & Culture division for all activities related to transferring existing project staff to country level sites


Oversight of services in SCUS country level operations (50%)


  • Travel to SCUS country level sites as needed
  • Identify the required services to support the people-related operations of each SCUS local office and oversee service arrangements


Supervision of SCUS country level staff in the People & Culture Division (20%)


  • Train, develop, coach, lead, and supervise staff, clearly communicating organization, division, and department priorities, and how their work contributes to our mission, ensuring that the working environment continually fosters diversity, inclusion, and belonging – supporting Save the Children values
  • Provide direct supervision to Sr. Administrator and dotted-line support to HR Business Partners and Talent Attraction & Acquisition recruiters supporting country level operations


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally


Preferred Qualifications


  • French language proficiency
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification
  • Prior experience standing up a field office


Compensation


Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:


  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $88,400 – $98,800 base salary
  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $98,600 – $110,200 base salary
  • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $108,800 – $121,600 base salary


Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location. Save the Children also offers paid vacation, accrued at least 12 days a year, depending on paygrade and length of service, paid safety and wellness leave of at least 1 day per month worked for a full time employee which is pro rata reduced for employees working less than a full time schedule, and at least 10 paid holidays a year. Employees may be eligible for additional bonus compensation.
