Senior Data Analyst / Quant Analyst 1 Yr Fixed Contract $300,000 - $380,000

**This role is a 1 yr fixed term contract paying £300,000 - $380,000**

My client is one of the biggest Investment banks in The World. They are looking for candidate who can wear multiple hats, Quant Analyst, Data Analyst, Architect and Product Owner to join their Data and Analytics team in New York focussing on their in-house Big Data Platform.

The current focus of work within the team is centred around their Risk Physical Model development as well as Market Risk Resolution Planning and Credit Risk Rating. Daily duties include working on data management, risk analytics and cloud architecture to streamline risk management process.

The ideal candidate will have very strong Python skills.

Experience and Skills

• Experienced with quantitative & qualitative data analysis and methods to extract, transform and analyze data
• Proficient with SQL programming on complex data structure
• Proficient with Python, Java/Scala in a Unix/Linux operating system
• Self-motivated and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experienced with trading products and common hedging strategies via delta/gamma
• In-depth understanding of large data technologies such as Hadoop distribution (yarn, hdfs, impala, hive), Spark architecture, Airflow orchestration, data reporting/visualization solutions

Salary and Benefits

1 year fixed term contract base salary: $300,000 - $380,000
