WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this position the Analyst will support senior bankers in origination, syndication and execution of high grade debt (DCM) and/or securitization transactions. They will also work closely with other product groups within the fixed income group and investment banking. Analysts will be responsible for adding value on various projects, increasing efficiency in work flows, contributions to new business initiatives, market analysis, marketing campaigns, client pitches and presentations.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Track, compile and distribute new investment grade bond issuance information
• Generate and maintain client presentations. In this position you will liaise with traders to obtain pricing information in secondary markets and assist with special ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
• Work to learn all aspects of the given businesses and any associated financial models or programs
• Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis
• Take part in on-the-job training to add daily value and assistance
• Assist in executing debt and preferred offerings in the capital markets; prepare and distribute market commentary and economic updates on a daily and weekly basis
• Prepare and distribute indicative pricing information for clients
• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
• Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business
• Work with investment banking and corporate banking peers to effectively cover clients in all aspects of their debt/securitization market financing needs
• Responsible for all ranges of project work, daily support of revenue generation as outlined by given business and increasing efficiencies in current department

Job Specifications And Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Series 7, 63 &79 licenses required
• Undergraduate degree

Other Required Qualifications:

• Academic excellence
• Financial modeling experience is highly desired
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills are a must. Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus
• Overall positive attitude with willingness to perform beyond what is being asked
• Ability to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities including working for multiple people
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills - able to analyze numbers very well
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of general capital markets as well as interest in DCM specific market
• Knowledge of accounting and ability to interpret financial statements is a plus
• Proven interest in financial markets

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $100,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
