Job Description
  • Establishes dialogue with trading desks regarding current positions, risks, views, and strategies
  • Keeps abreast of new risk management techniques and industry literature
  • Involved in P&L attribution and periodic performance analysis with commentary on trading strategies and risks
  • Provides periodic analysis and commentary on key market risks for senior management review
  • Assists in establishing formal market risk policies and procedures
  • Serves as a point-person for market risk control for trading desks in the Region
  • Develops a thorough understanding of business strategies and factors contributing to profitability
  • Assists in identifying key market risks and determining appropriate risk metrics
  • Facilitates design of stress tests to highlight market risks and provides ongoing commentary
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of key risk issues through continuous review of data and dialogue with relevant parties
  • Demonstrates governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with policies and practices
  • Ensures execution of the Market Risk Control function aligns with documented procedures


Job Requirements:


  • 4-year degree in quantitative or financial field or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written) and effective communication with all levels of staff and management
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and establish priorities
  • 5+ years of related analytical experience
