Associate Consultant Corporate Strategy

Summary

The Associate Consultant, Corporate Strategy is responsible for assisting in the design, execution, and write-up of research and analysis on key healthcare market trends impacting Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s strategic priorities. The Associate Consultant is able to apply foundational analytic skills, including secondary research synthesis and creating data visuals using Excel and Tableau. The ideal candidate will be curious, detail oriented and interested in becoming an expert on specific trends within the healthcare industry, including but not limited to national competitor activity across lines of business, behavioral health, health equity, digital experience, and pharmacy. The position requires an interest in advancing data-driven storytelling and creating effective data visuals for senior leadership and non-technical audiences. Note-taking and ability to quickly synthesize findings are also key skillsets for this role.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Develop concise, complete and accurate written information for presentation materials to describe and explain research results and their implications.
• Deliver presentations effectively, adjusting to the interest and knowledge level of audiences.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data sets and help summarize key findings in writing and by visualizing with tables, charts and graphs to illustrate important trends over time. Conduct secondary research on the topic being investigated and summarize findings to provide context and information from other sources to add support and explanation for the data.
• Provide clear and timely updates to teammates and project manager to communicate progress and status. Alert project manager if work is off track and participate in problem solving to get back on track.

Required Education, Certifications And Experience

• Ability to build relationships across a wide range of levels in the organization and among Plans.
• Research and data analytical skills
• Ability to communicate research findings to non-technical audiences both orally and in writing.
• Bachelor's degree
• Project management skills

Preferred Education, Certifications And Experience

• One year of experience in quantitative research and analysis addressing health care/health policy issues

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed in an office or remote setting. Sedentary work (exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and involving sitting most of the time with occasional standing and walking)
