Norvic Shipping, a leading North American owner-operator of dry bulk and tanker vessels worldwide, has experienced exponential growth since its establishment in 2006. With a fleet of 130 to 150 vessels at any given time, we are proud to be at the forefront of the industry.
We are seeking an innovative and analytical individual to join our team as a Senior Business Process & Applications Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our extensive portfolio of business applications and optimizing associated processes. Your primary focus will be on project management of new system implementations and integrations, ensuring maximum value is derived from our applications.
This is a full-time position based at our office in New York, with frequent travel to our other offices, particularly Dubai, Singapore, India, and Copenhagen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for business applications and processes.
- Work closely with commercial teams and support functions to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Create training material for both existing and new employees and provide comprehensive training on our established way of working.
- Develop, implement, manage and review the company’s digital strategy in line with organizational values, business objectives and priorities.
- Support our Super Users with training and escalate incidents towards third-party systems when needed.
- Lead change management efforts related to process improvements and system implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in business process management and technology, providing recommendations for innovation and optimization.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics related to business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversee current systems, including IMOS and SEDNA, and ensure successful integration of new updates and integrations.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements, ensuring effective solutions are implemented.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, facilitating process reviews, and implementing best practices.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure successful implementation and support of business applications.
Role Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of business process management methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve objectives.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and buy-in.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, ERP systems, agile methodology and workflow automation tools.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives and leveraging emerging technologies for process optimization.
- Proficiency in project management principles and practices, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
