Senior Account Executive – Outside Sales Representative – Madison or Milwaukee area of Wisconsin


TEQ is an educational company dedicated to championing the evolution of the modern classroom by helping K-12 institutions fuse technology and learning. There are three main components of the business: the sale of SMART branded interactive flat panels, STEM equipment, and Teq’s own services around professional development and project-based learning.


Teq is looking to add a Senior Account Executive representative to cover education customers/public and private schools in Wisconsin. This is a new territory that you will develop, drive engagement, and build relationships with new prospects, resulting in bookings and revenue attainment in excess of your goals. We ask our Senior Account Executives to view their territories as their own business and be creative and responsible stewards of that business. It is a requirement that the representative reside in the Madison or Milwaukee area and own a vehicle, for best territory coverage.


As part of this role, you will have an Account Executive as a teammate to build the business in Wisconsin. The Account Executive will be in our NY office focused on making phone calls, making remote sales presentations, and setting up appointments for the Senior Account Executives. Account Executives are not admins, they are full sellers that work collaboratively with Senior Account Executives; the best teams are ones that rely on each other’s strengths and abilities to build a business together.


Compensation


  • Insurance: Medical, FSA, DCA, Dental, Vision, Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Short-Term Disability
  • Retirement plan information: 401(k) With Match
  • Paid time off: 16 Paid Days Off, Plus 14 Paid Holidays, Paid Training Days (at our office in NY)
  • Competitive Base Salary ($80K) + Uncapped Commissions


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and attend in-person meetings to introduce Teq to the customer, conduct product demonstrations, gather stakeholders, and finalize sales
  • Generate sales opportunities through calls and visits with educational institutions throughout the territory
  • Act with utmost professionalism and respect for the customer. We expect our representatives to provide clear communication with customers, communicate clearly and honestly, and always meet a deadline you provide to a customer. We expect Teq sales representatives to be considered the most professional sales representatives that any district works with.
  • Build brand awareness through participation in local and regional events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Collaborate with teammates consistently and authentically to create new business and serve customers
  • Introduce Teq and our company philosophy to customers
  • Effectively utilize systems and sales tools to accurately report daily activity, opportunity creation, and sales growth
  • Provide key insights into district, regional, and state-level initiatives impacting the market


Qualifications


  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Traveling to clients within to ensure face-to-face contact with prospects.
  • Highly energetic and self-starter.
  • Solutions selling experience in any of the following areas: Professional Development, software, hardware, or other interactive technical products.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent organization, time management and presentation skills.
  • Familiar with CRM software solutions.
  • Willing to travel throughout the territory whenever business requires.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of customer organization.
  • Willingness to evaluate current strategies and change quickly when required.
  • 2-3 years of field sales experience. Technology sales experience is preferred, and educational experience is a plus.
