THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Golf

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a preference for working in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates.***

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to implement the operational elements of a prominent PGA TOUR Proud Partner sponsorship with a Fortune 500 company. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for golf and the ability to lead multiple projects with acute attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in client service and event management logistics.

This person will work closely with the Account Manager and Group Director who oversee the client account within the golf sponsorship space, along with their agency and property partners.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Support document creation/updating and internal process management
  • Serve as a trusted and reliable agency contact for client sponsorship team, internal client departments and agency partners
  • Ensure various agency partners are aligned and advised on timelines, as well as keep projects moving alongside target deadlines and budgets
  • Execute various professional golf and partnership programs through planning, execution, and measurement/evaluation
  • Ensure contractual compliance and fulfillment of sponsorship assets, and handle the day to day logistics of executing various activation elements, ticket assets & CRM strategy, and vehicle logistics

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Excellent communication, writing and client service skills
  • Passionate to make an overall account contribution with new projects and ideas
  • All applicants will need to provide proof of COVID vaccination or contact the organization’s HR team if eligible for an exemption.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1-3 years of marketing/event experience
  • Experience with professional/amateur golf and/or event management a plus
  • Ability to travel and work weekends
  • Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Compensation + Benefits:

Senior Account Executive: The base salary for this role is $50,000 with overtime eligibility.
