Job Description
Position: Weekend only Security officer
DEPT: Security
REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor
HOURS: 2nd shift (noon-midnight) every other Saturday & Sunday; work 24 hours paid for 30.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Good communication - verbal & written skills
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Competent in computer programs especially Word
  • Respectful, polite, and approachable
  • High school grad or equivalent, minimum of one year security experience or criminal justice education, etc.
  • Responds to emergency situations, makes safety rounds
  • Trustworthy character, flexible, and responsible

JOB DUTIES:
  • Maintains integrity and displays proper ethics in this role.
  • Follow policies and procedures, maintaining compliance of required responsibilities.
  • Assists during emergencies
  • Answers phones and directs visitors
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of emergency systems and communication systems.
  • Watches for trespassing, theft, or damage to property or injury to individuals. This is done by screening visitors, notifying designated personnel of emergencies, writing reports. In cases of emergencies, assists in the safe and swift evacuation of residents.
  • Tours all campus facilities
  • Conducts foot patrols of buildings and surrounding grounds. Conducts surveillance of the property both inside and out.
  • Inspect buildings, parking lots, grounds, fire lanes and emergency exit for compliance with safety standards and documents findings.
