GENERAL FUNCTION
The Distribution Manager manages, plans, organizes and problem solves distribution center functions and division related requirements (Wholesale/Retail). Plans and maintains systems, processes and procedures for operating efficiency. Manages staff for optimum performance.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provides associates guidance as needed.
  • Schedules staff and monitors daily operations of business, labor standards and departmental plans to assure compliance to established delivery standards.
  • Assists in the interviewing process and makes recommendations for hire or termination of associates.
  • Works independently without direct management.
  • Manages and problem solves for all distribution center functions.
  • Provides input for budget process and assesses day to day compliance with same.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience performing increasingly diversified duties within a distribution environment
  • Knowledge of strategic planning
  • Understanding and functional use of Labor Management systems, including but not limited to DWM, SAP, RF systems, etc.
  • Lean Principle disciplines
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Adaptable and reactive to change
  • Good judgment and decision making skills
  • Problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of business management principles and practices
  • Excellent staff relations and managerial skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
