Job Description
Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is currently seeking a Secretary II for the Office of Student Affairs. Under direct supervision of the Executive Assistant of the Vice Dean, the Secretary II shares administrative responsibilities for the operation of the Offices of Student Affairs and Diversity and Inclusion. Assists with the coordination of all programs run under the auspices of these areas. Among the key duties of this position are the following:


  • Provides administrative and operational support in the development and implementation of a variety of school-wide programs.
  • Maintains the schedules and sets up appointments with students, course directors, faculty, etc.
  • Greets students, faculty and visitors to the offices.
  • Provides interdepartmental coverage (Offices of Academic Affairs, Vice Dean and Dean) when needed for phone coverage, proctoring, specialized programs, and events.
  • Serves as a first point-of-contact for visitors and their questions.
  • Monitors project deadlines and ensures those deadlines are met.
  • Assists with general student services and telephones in the Office of Student Affairs.
