Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under close direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects.

Pediatric Neurosurgery, non exempt , full time, located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.


The Seasonal Hire Program is a program designed as an opportunity for high school students, college students, and teachers to work at UTHSC-H during the summer and gain invaluable work experience and new insights into career possibilities while also earning an income.

Position Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop database for fetal neurosurgery patients who have undergone fetal repair working with Erica Rosales, RN from fetal team
  • Assist in literature research and develop lectures for fetal meeting at IFMSS
  • Make rounds as available
  • Formulate plan for investigation of inflammatory markers in meningeal repair of rabbits undergoing craniotomy

CERTIFICATIONS/SKILL

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
