Job Description

Summary

The NFL Events Access Control team is seeking someone with a passion for event operations who wants to gain tremendous experience working on one of the largest sports and entertainment events in the world. The seasonal assistant would be responsible for supporting the NFL Accreditation Manager in the end to end accreditation of 40,000+ individuals at Super Bowl. The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of and experience with large scale event accreditation and management. Additionally this person must possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

This position is seasonal, beginning in September and lasting approximately eight months. The position will be based in the New York City office and will require much travel and long hours including a 1 week stay in London (October) and 4 week stay in the Super Bowl city (January – February).

Responsibilities

  • Support NFL Accreditation Manager in all facets of Super Bowl accreditation process
  • Support vendor contacts with credential process on a day-to-day basis and address issues as they arise
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Work closely with accreditation manager on oversight and management of NFL credential database
  • Support overall Gameday Teammate Check-In operation on Super Bowl Sunday
  • Serve as liaison among event vendors, NFL and contracted security, local and federal law enforcement, venue operations, broadcast partners and production
  • Communicate complex credential process guidelines to key vendors to ensure deadlines are met
  • Oversee and manage on-site operations of credential production and distribution vendor with staff of 10 – 15
  • Facilitate data entry and changes/updates to NFL accreditation database on a daily basis for Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, London Games, Germany Game, NFL Combine and NFL Draft

Required Qualifications

  • Proactive self-starter who works well within a team, strong interpersonal skills
  • Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Experience with large scale event management and accreditation a MUST
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
  • Ability to lead others and collaborate with a variety of groups at different levels
  • Proven accomplishments in organization and management of people and processes
  • Knowledge of League and team business and operating units
  • Solid writing, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively delegate
  • Ability to implement and meet deadlines
  • Possess IT, software and database development experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of working in databases
  • 1-3 years event management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Travel

Salary / Pay Range
