Scientific Writer Jobs

We are currently partnered with a leading medical and health communications agency that specializes in medical education for health, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies. They are currently looking for a talented Senior/Lead Scientific Writer.

Salary: 110-160K

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to organic growth of accounts and development of new business proposals
• Researching and developing editorial aspects of educational materials
• Prepare high-level, strategic medical/marketing materials
• Write copy to the highest standard (quality and scientific) for a range of educational materials including the development of oral presentations, publications, print items, and digital platforms, and for different audiences.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of therapy areas relevant to own accounts, including product data and educational messaging, terminology, and competitor awareness
• Partner with key pharmaceutical clients to discuss scientific aspects of the project and act as a point of contact for both clients and key thought leaders.
• Mentor junior editorial assistants and brief freelancers to manage materials through the studio

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have Ph.D. (Preferably in Biomedical Science or Related Field)
• Excellent attention to detail - style/consistency, good grammar, scientific accuracy, and experience in QCing work and sign-off of printer proofs
• Excellent scientific writing style and skills to adapt content and style to different audience groups
• Knowledge of print/production procedures
• Ability to review work, coach, and provide feedback to team members.
