Job Description
Acenda is an integrated health care organization dedicated to industry-leading prevention, treatment and wellness services compassionately delivered to ensure that every individual, family and community achieves their greatest potential.


Overview: The NJ Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) network, created regional hubs aligned with court vicinages and Children's System of Care service areas, to support statewide delivery of prevention services in schools, as well as other locations in the community including but not limited to: libraries, community centers, faith-based-organizations and family success centers. The hubs would be the administrative and organizational center, staffed by a director, support staff, prevention specialists and mental health counselors who will be mobilized to delivery services locally, when and where they are needed, both in school and community settings. Most importantly the hub staff will have the ability to connect students and their parents/caregivers with other community services, both clinical and non-clinical, beneficial to student social, emotional and mental health and well-being.


Job Function: Responsible for devising, implementing, analyzing and managing a system for the scheduling of program appointments in a manner which most efficiently utilizes available resources and fully accommodating the needs of students, families, school districts, and community service providers. This position must coordinate the needs of multiple parties in order to continually improve scheduling and report efficiency in the NJ4S program.


To qualify for the Scheduling Coordinator position, you need to have the below minimum requirements and experience:


  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual Spanish - Strongly Preferred
  • Additional education and related experience are preferred, such as a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field, experience in the provision of prevention related programs
  • Associates Degree with two years' experience in scheduling and office management in community-based services/social services setting.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, cultural competency required


To be a successful Scheduling Coordinator you must be able to do the following essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Develops and maintains partnerships and collaborations with school districts and community resources and ensures program availability, opportunities and successes are marketed to promote program sustainability
  • Receives, and communicates with potential participants, supporting them with the scheduling/application process, which can include paperwork and facilitating resources.
  • Assists the Director in the development of the program's administrative and programmatic operations.
  • Answers general and new participant inquires.
