We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SBA Business Development Officer to join our fast-paced Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, attracting, and retaining small business clients. You will be the face of our organization, leveraging your skills and experience in prospecting, territory sales, direct sales, and account management to establish strong relationships with small businesses and provide them with the financial solutions they need to thrive. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.


Responsibilities


  • Identify new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying leads, researching potential customers, and initiating contact with potential clients.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, services, and pricing structures to effectively promote our offerings.
  • Manage a defined territory and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure their financial needs are met and to increase sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • Conduct direct sales presentations to prospective clients and negotiate contracts to close deals.
  • Prepare regular reports on territory sales, prospective leads, and customer feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Provide exceptional account management by offering personalized service, understanding client needs, and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.


Qualifications


  • Strong understanding of small business administration (SBA) loans and other financial products and services.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in prospecting, territory sales, direct sales, and account management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
