Job Description

Job Summary

The Salesforce Administrator provides support for end-users, executes changes in the application, recommends and applies approved changes to policies and procedures, and contributes to the configuration and customization of the application. Daily responsibilities include user management, permission management (profiles, roles, permission sets), Territory Management, system troubleshooting, creating reports and dashboards, submitting / managing support cases with Salesforce support, and mass data manipulation using data import and upload tools. The Administrator additionally architects, designs and implements solutions under the guidance of senior team members.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Admin skills:

  • Participate in development of system vision
  • Create and destroy Sandboxes as directed
  • Implement and maintain 3rd-party apps
  • Develop and deliver training for end-users
  • Participate in defining platform security to ensure Regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Log and track issues through resolution
  • Manage backup of system data and metadata

System architecture and design:

  • Employ system automation tools to include Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Lightning Flow
  • Design and implement solutions with guidance from senior team members
  • Coordinate with developers in designing and developing solutions
  • Use of change sets / migration tools to move functionality between environments
  • Participate in architecting database schema
  • Create and configure standard and custom objects and fields
  • Implement and manage standard and custom functionality such as Platform Encryption, Cases, and Territory Management

SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle):

  • Test and document results in accordance with companys validation requirements
  • Support QA team in testing SFDC seasonal releases and other updates
  • Participate in SDLC documents to include Business Requirements and Change Requests
  • Document business and functional documents in compliance with SDLC requirements
  • Gather and interpret Business Requirements with guidance from senior team members
  • Draft SDLC documents to include Deployment Plan and Technical Design Documents

Basic Admin skills:

  • Create training artifacts (documents and videos) for end users
  • Support efforts to drive system adoption and continued improvements
  • Initialization and destruction of sandbox testing environments
  • Maintain Territory Model
  • Create and maintain permissions to include profiles, roles, and permission sets
  • Mass data manipulation using Data Import Wizard and Data Loader tools
  • Create and maintain page layouts
  • Create objects and custom workflows
  • Create and maintain Users
  • Troubleshoot frontline user and system issues
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Salesforce Admin certification
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year Salesforce admin in Enterprise environment supporting 100+ users
  • Salesforce Senior Admin certification preferred (or working toward)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical:

  • Capable of designing solutions with minimal direction
  • Ability to apply best practices to solution design
  • Ability to implement suitable solutions under the guidance of senior team members
  • Ability to manage complex SFDC enterprise platform with guidance and support
