Brief Summary of Job Duties

Under direction, the Salesforce Administrator works to enhance the academic business processes and systems of the College of Letters and Science and its departments in order to drive efficient and effective processes utilizing the Salesforce platform. Responsible for moving existing business processes into the Salesforce platform, developing net new solutions, and improving inefficiencies in existing system processes. Manages all facets of the project life cycle - analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and support - by collaborating with Salesforce project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are successfully completed and implementations are completed on time. Works as part of a transformative team to improve the collaboration and overall experiences of students, staff, and faculty. Establishes Customer Relationships focused on the inclusion of customer needs, requirements and feedback in application support activities. Includes on-call support, ticket handling, monitoring, and troubleshooting of application issues and performance. #LI-KA1

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years Salesforce administration and support.
• Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• 1-3 years gathering and documenting requirements from business units and SMEs for projects of various sizes

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years work in Higher Education.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator.

Job Functions/Percentage of Time/Duties

• 10% Documentation & Training - Develops user documentation, standards, processes and improvements, and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery to customers. Assist in training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
• 10% Business Systems Analysis - Anticipate potential technical problems. Collaborate internally to develop solutions to enhance the Salesforce platform service. Coordinate with business analysts and developers, third party application consultants, and L&S units to develop and maintain the platform as the needs require.
• 80% Salesforce Application Development - Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform including creation of customer workflows. Analyze and document vendor provided customizations within the Salesforce platform to permit future enhancements and modifications. Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests. Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades. Improve and manage application/configuration deployment tools. Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks. Complete proper testing of performance and security requirements including maintenance of user roles and security. Coordinate testing of application changes including user acceptance testing before release to production.
