Summary:
Join us in the Beer & Wine & Spirits Industry on our Republic National Distributing Company Kenai sales team! As an RNDC Sales Representative, you maximize the sale of beer, wine, and liquor supplier brands to our On Premise and Retail Package store customers through effective account, management, selling execution, support, and communication resulting in the achievement of company and supplier objectives.

Sales Representative
  • Following the established guidelines for a complete sales call.
  • Developing monthly, weekly, and daily written plans for execution.
  • Being responsible for all aspects of servicing and merchandising within assigned accounts.
  • Working collaboratively with supplier personnel to develop product knowledge, assist with presentations, and activate account action plans.
  • Ensuring feature price promotions and display merchandising support from the assigned territory chain account buyers.
  • Developing an effective partnership with accounts

  • Ensuring 100% distribution of all authorized SKU’s in cold box and on shelf in all assigned accounts.
  • Communicating issues, opportunities, and market intelligence with appropriate management through written, electronic, and verbal means.
  • Gaining knowledge of the specific customer’s business operations and coordinating multiple and diverse options for selling the company’s products to each.
  • Conducting staff training and education in all assigned accounts.
  • Creating customer business building concepts to increase company share and volume.
  • Conducting on sale promotions and activations.
  • Having extensive knowledge of the brands and knowing in-depth features and benefits of each compared to the competition.
  • Submitting prompt and accurate reports.
  • As a Combo Sales Representative, you will work with On Premise, Chains, and Off Premise accounts. You plan time and activities to ensure achievement of company and supplier established goals and sales objectives within assigned accounts by:
  • Effectively executing distribution and volume through various qualitative drivers: distribution, wine and drink lists, promotions, banquets, special events.
  • Maintaining up-to-date, accurate territory and account records.
  • Establishing and following an efficient and economical routing pattern that ensures assigned accounts are serviced and merchandised as needed.
  • Identifying opportunities, developing, and implementing 'Account Action Plans'.
  • Building positive relationships and an effective partnership with the ultimate decision maker in all assigned accounts.
Selling Obtain company and supplier quotas and generate revenue growth by:
  • Building relationships and an effective partnership with the ultimate decision maker in assigned accounts.
  • Selling concepts and consulting with the customer on strategies that will collectively enhance both business models.
  • Utilizing pricing and promotion strategies, marketing opportunities, servicing, merchandising and category management skills.
Requirements: Reliable transportation with a clean driving record, and current insurance. Weekly travel from Kenai to Seward with 1-2 nights in Seward during summer months; winter months require travel to Seward every other week.
Communicating Serve as information resources for, and conduits between, the field and the company's management by communicating issues, opportunities, and market intelligence through effective written, electronic and verbal means. The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The role also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public. Maintain a good rapport with other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, percent, margin and mark-ups.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Computer Experience is required. Knowledge of MS Excel is required. Knowledge of MS Word is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move 22-45lb cases and maneuver 160lb ½ bbl kegs in on premise. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
