The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for natural foods and specialty brands? Climax Foods is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to drive sales growth, cultivate customer relationships, and elevate brand awareness. This role reports to Head of Marketing until the hire of a Head of Sales, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of revolutionizing the plant-based food industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent Climax Foods at sales presentations, tastings, trade shows, events, festivals, and conferences, showcasing our brand and products.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments at Climax Foods, fostering a cohesive and synergistic work environment.
  • Assist in creating compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively showcase our innovative product offerings.
  • Work alongside operations to track purchase orders and manage timely deliveries, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Provide product knowledge and training to external stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of our offerings.
  • Exceed sales targets and goals set by the revenue team, collaborating closely with production, operations, and marketing departments.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies to achieve ambitious targets and expand market presence.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and pricing discussions to maximize revenue and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Stay well-informed about competitors and promptly address customer inquiries to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities in our CRM system for efficient tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Specialty Cheese (dairy or plant-based) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must have a valid driving license, with a "satisfactory" driving record. The Sales Representatives will be required to drive through the Bay Area to meet customers and make deliveries.
  • College degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with the Bay Area market is preferred, but not essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a natural products brand in Foodservice and Retail, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a drive to surpass targets and achieve exceptional sales outcomes.
