POSITION PURPOSE

  • Support Travel Retail Director – Cruise Lines to deliver business growth in line with objectives
  • Responsible for managing and further developing cruise lines accounts for both On & Off Trade
  • Responsible for supporting Cruise Lines Director with management of distributors
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with key customer contacts in HQ, Onboard Food & Beverage Managers, Beverage Managers, Hotel Directors, Category Managers and Retail Managers
  • Identify and develop customized permanent programs for agreed cruise lines accounts in line with overall strategy

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate and lock key activations/programs with each cruise lines account to drive visibility and build brand awareness
  • Analyze competitive environment (brands/qualities/pricing/activations) and share key findings with TR Director and Marketing Team
  • Compile monthly report on depletion and retail performance and key activities for the month
  • Support Travel Retail Director in customer Business Reviews, Strategy Meetings, RFQ/RFP’s and activation planning
  • Further expand MH footprint into Luxury segment
  • Optimize brand distribution per cruise line and diversify overall mix
  • Assist Travel Retail Director with forecasting and budgeting
  • Analyze monthly depletion and retail sales per cruise line and take corrective measures as needed
  • Improve back bar visibility by negotiating right product placement and implementation of branded POSM
  • Identify relevant concepts/programs for each account and work closely with marketing for development of such concepts/programs
  • Regularly visit cruise lines accounts to establish privileged relationships, identify their needs and for them to keep MH brands top in mind
  • Manage cruise lines accounts with primary focus on On-Trade

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Languages: Fluent English, Spanish is a plus
Location: Miami based (must) – MH office; Willing to travel 50% of the time on cruise ships mainly

Professional Experience & Know How:

  • Budget management principles
  • Proven track record of growing existing business and developing additional business
  • Effective use of 80/20 principle
  • Background with wines & spirits is a must, with on trade experience preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in account management (on-trade preferably and/or cruise lines and/or national accounts) and distributors management. Retail experience is a plus
  • Strong business acumen skills coupled with good negotiation skills
  • International mindset
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
