Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel treatments for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. We are developing vonoprazan, a first-in-class potassium-competitive acid blocker (PCAB) with a New Drug Application under review by the FDA for the treatment of Erosive GERD and a late-stage development program in Non-Erosive GERD. Vonoprazan-based regimens are approved in the U.S. as part of a co-packaged product in combination with antibiotics for the treatment of H. pylori infection in adults, marketed as VOQUEZNA® TRIPLE PAK® (vonoprazan, amoxicillin, clarithromycin) and VOQUEZNA DUAL PAK® (vonoprazan, amoxicillin).

The Sales Analyst will be a member of the Commercial Insights & Analytics team and will support the field sales organization as a primary responsibility. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in data management, Excel, data visualization and experience in developing complex data analysis. This position will have a secondary responsibility to support analytics initiatives related to market access and marketing.
Accountabilities
Performance Reporting & KPI Management for Sales Force
- Work closely with the Phathom Data Management Team to ensure system is fully compliant.
- Responsible for supporting Field Sales Team and Sales Leadership in the timely and accurate delivery of all sales reports and key performance metrics (KPIs) via Phathom’s Field and Sales HQ Reporting Dashboards
- Provide and support all training activities related to reporting with the Field and Sales HQ personnel.
Sales Force Targeting & Alignment Process
- Maintain and coordinate Phathom Target Lists in all Phathom systems.
- Provide support for targeting and segmentation analytics & routine updates.
- Provide necessary support in developing and maintaining territory alignments using Phathom systems.
Incentive Compensation Support
- Ensure dataset used for IC is compliant and aligned with Phathom business rules.
- Support Incentive Compensation process with delivery of territory aligned sales data.
Ad Hoc Reporting & Analytics
- Provide direct support to the Sales VP. Support Director of Sales Operations and Area Directors as needed.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis using BI tools, Excel, and PowerPoint (e.g., sub-national opportunity analysis; sampling analysis; program metrics)
- Provide support to the Market Access Team and Marketing team as needed related to Prescription Data, Market Access Data, Targeting Files, Data Requests
- Assist in preparation of sales leadership presentations.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in a Business Analytics role, preferably Sales Operations within the Pharmaceutical industry on a product launch
· Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Excellent Excel skills required (data modeling, pivots, macros, v/h lookups, etc)
· Strong analytical, problem solving and attention to detail.
· Experience with IQVIA data sets such as Xponent Plantrak preferred.
· Experience with Veeva or a similar CRM system preferred.
· Experience with Power BI preferred.
