Safety Coordinator Details

• $ 20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Temp-to-Hire position
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

Help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents and will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities.

Develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness.

Work with leadership, supervisors and employees to support and enforce policies that protect employees and keep the work environment safe and compliant.

The work will be focused on prevention, so the Safety Coordinator needs to be diligent and analytical.

Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Communicates safety methodology and explains desired outcomes; identifies steps in project lifecycle.

Identify and resolve safety issues by implementing preventative and corrective actions.

Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.

Organize and conduct OSH training plans.

Safety Coordinator Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
• Must be willing to work in the warehouse, not just in office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed. You will be required to complete and submit a questionnaire. We will consider your age at the time of the offense, when the offense occurred, the seriousness and the nature of the offense, as well as any rehabilitation to determine your employability.
• Ability to work hands on in warehouse, must learn receiving and shipping process.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Physical Requirements:
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
• Must be flexible with hours including nights, weekends and holidays if needed.
