The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineer supports LOB objectives to increase process efficiency, improve quality, and reduce operational risk through automation. The RPA Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing and support of all process automations. The RPA Engineer works closely with the business to design, develop, test, implement and support solutions using but not limited to RPA Solutions (UIpath), creating code with programming languages (Preferably python), API integrations, Document Understanding solutions (Uipath/Kofax/OCR/ML/NLP), BPM (Uipath, Kofax) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Develop automation solutions using the UIpath tool. These will include RPA projects, Document understanding, task mining, BPM projects and helping teach users who are part of the citizen developer program. Design and develop efficient automation processes with well-structured and easily maintainable code.
- Support the Kofax Total Agility and RPA system when issues arise. This will include troubleshooting the entire system including the Databases associated, all related on prem servers, Total Agility, RPA, and the Repository Browser.
- Research and analyze business problems to determine suitable intelligent automation solutions available in the market and communicate with business customers, strategic partners, and development teams.
- Troubleshoot development roadblocks, environment, and production issues and lead issue resolution with business and development teams with mitigation plans.
- Create and maintain solution documentation in a timely fashion.
- Support the implementation of new automation processes within established change control processes.
- Partner with LOBs to identify and understand process opportunities, assess automation feasibility, estimate development complexity and timelines, and support development resource planning needs.
- Act as subject matter expert for RPA software and resolve any related issues as required.

Industry and Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience related to RPA Automation with Advanced to Expert knowledge of Uipath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or Microsoft Power Automate with a strong preference of UIpath
- Fundamental Knowledge of Document Understanding using ML tools
- SQL Proficiency
- Preferred – Objected-Oriented programming language experience preferably in python or C#
- Preferred – API Development
- Preferred – Experience with creating AI models (ML, NLP, Etc.)
- Preferred – Automation experience in IBS, Salesforce, and or Banking
Academic:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or technology related field required
- Preferred – Master’s degree in a technology or business technology related field
