Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs, ensuring the highest quality of care and adherence to established standards.
Utilize approved triage algorithms to efficiently triage patient phone calls, ensuring timely and appropriate clinical pathways for each patient.
Provide compassionate counseling and patient education, empowering individuals to take control of their health.
Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in the healthcare record, maintaining meticulous records according to established standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in nursing practices through continuous education and professional development.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and objectives, emphasizing quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention.
Attend virtual meetings as required, actively participating in collaborative discussions and sharing insights.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum of one year of experience working as an RN in a clinic setting.
Previous Nurse Triage Experience Preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth, development, and life stages to meet each patient's unique needs.
Proficient in telephone triage, utilizing clinical pathways and documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
Possess current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Ability to work from home in a distraction-free and secure environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, promoting positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience with EPIC EMR system.
Excellent prioritization skills, ensuring efficient management of workload.
Comfortable working independently and thriving in a remote environment.
Familiarity with Medicare, JCAHO, and HCFA regulations pertaining to ambulatory care.
