Position Summary

The Returns Coordinator supports the Assistant Location Manager to ensure the operational efforts of an individual client location under limited supervision. Participates in the development and implementation of location policies and procedures. This position ensures the KPIs are met with the proper planning and scheduling of the distribution services. The Returns Coordinator also conducts operational analyses and audits of current procedures to monitor and improve the efficiency of operations and client satisfaction. The Returns Coordinator will spend most of his/her time in the office or warehouse maximizing the performance of the site.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support for activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation
• Facilitate the daily operations and ensure daily objectives are being met
• Communicate daily/shift goal of facility and group(s); device, communicate and implement plans to obtain operational goals; work with and motivate employees to ensure goal achievement; provide progress or constraint updates to management and implement corrective measures as needed
• Following SOPs for the product return and truck check-in process each day
• Ensuring key performance indicators are met
• Implement LEAN six sigma throughout the warehouse to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity, and results
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Manage logistics services
• Building a strong rapport with our service providers and clients
• Ensuring accuracy with reason codes for each item that is returned to the facility
• Ensuring timely reporting of returns compliance
• Supporting an environment that fosters open and positive team communication

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Capability to multi-task and highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills
• Experience working with contractors
• Work independently and as a member of a team
• Exposure to Lean principles, systems and tools (beginner level)
• Work self-directed with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate computer skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with customers, employees, peers and management
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, workgroups, customers, supervisors)

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred
• LEAN implementation experience a plus
• Previous last-mile experience preferred
• Routing and dispatching experience a plus
• Experience with managing direct reports
