RETAIL FURNITURE SALES/INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prevalent Projects is a high-end furniture retail store in the heart of Mill Valley, California. We specialize in high end furniture of our own line as well as many European and Japanese brands: PP Mobler, Frederica, & Tradition, Benchmark, Carl Hansen, etc. We are looking for a detail oriented Interior Design/ Furniture Sales Consultant to join our fast growing, design centric, creative company. We are a small family run business with tremendous growth opportunities. We are offering a base annual salary commensurate with experience in the 70-100K range along with full health benefits and vacation pay. Commission program offered on volume sales.

What you’ll do:

• Communicate our values and brand philosophy to customers.
• Provide the absolute best customer service experience in our store and online.
• Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and be capable of giving expert design advice.
• Provide design and sales assistance to clients who are looking for single items of furniture and homegoods as well as for an entire home of furniture, and everything in between.
• Willing to jump in when and where needed with no task too small.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Who you are:

*Have a minimum of two years experience selling home furnishings.

• Positive and welcoming attitude, creative mindset, and self-motivated.
• Ability to create simple furniture floorplans in CAD a plus.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the design trade with a desire to continue learning.
• Highly proficient in Mac OS, IOS devices, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications.
• Excited to work in a fast-paced, design centric retail environment.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items, up to 25 lbs.
