Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Operations Director to lead the total retail operations for Intuit Dome. Intuit Dome, the new home of the LA Clippers, will open for the 2024-25 season in Inglewood, California and will revolutionize the stadium experience for our fans and empower our community. Built for the fan, by the fan, the basketball-obsessed arena, entertainment venue and outdoor plaza will deliver a uniquely intimate and intense live event experience with all the comforts of home.

As a Retail Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of retail operations for Intuit Dome, including building and developing our retail staff, inventory management strategy, warehouse efficiencies, concerts & events merchandise sales, visual merchandising, and financial performance.

The Retail Operations Director will collaborate across the organization to deliver retail initiatives and programs that drive revenue, grow fandom and build brand affinity in our community and around the globe.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail operations, concerts & events merchandise management, and overall retail operational efficiencies. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure high-quality merchandise and a competitive pricing structure.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall customer experience and increase revenue.
  • Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Manage the budget and financial performance of the retail operations, including setting sales targets, monitoring headcount and expenses, and analyzing financial data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive customer experience.
  • Run all retail operations for basketball games, concerts, and events at Intuit Dome, including hiring & managing staff, inventory strategy, warehouse efficiencies, merchandise sales, visual merchandising, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including safety and security regulations.

Background, Skills and Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in retail operations management, preferably in a sports or entertainment venue.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful retail strategies to increase revenue and improve customer experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and manage staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management systems, warehousing set-up / strategies, and building out a retail operations team for a best-in-class arena.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays as required

Compensation

  • $175,000 - $225,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
